Acceleration Appliances
Auragan has developed a suite of acceleration appliances to increase the performance of XML data collaboration, .Net web services, large file delivery, and streaming within the enterprise or from a data center.
Unlike traditional caching servers or services that require additional hardware and modification of your content, Auragan's appliances plug into your existing infrastructure to immediately and dramatically increase the performance of your own network assets, with no additional servers, no programming, and no changes to existing content.

- Mathematics. The set or configuration of all points whose coordinates satisfy a single equation or one or more algebraic conditions.
- A server appliance that optimizes caching or streaming across a highly utilized server farm.
Locus Servers
Auragan's line of appliances help your existing servers perform better by actively managing the traffic and content delivered from each server. Traditional load balancers balance traffic either at the network layer based on an indiscriminate amount of mb/sec, or at the application layer based on application responsiveness. Our appliances take both of these into account, while also considering the actual content each server is most ready to deliver. This approach optimizes each individual server not just at the network or application layers, but in the O/S itself, resulting in much higher performance.
File Server Optimizer :
The Locus 3s monitors "big file" server demands in real time to proactively manage server traffic and predictively adjust content distribution among available streaming or file download servers. The Locus 3s prevents server or network overload that could cause buffering or failed downloads by managing file movement between network attached storage and the file or streaming servers, and delivering files from the healthiest servers. Because both storage and delivery are optimized, you have a cheaper network and fewer servers to manage at any given level of traffic. This means your ROI goes way up. For enterprises, the Locus 3s can even determine whether a user is inside or outside the corporate network, and direct their download or stream accordingly. The Locus 3s is tailored to manage mixed environments of Windows Media, Real, and QuickTime on-demand streaming, as well as HTTP or FTP file downloading.
Cache Appliance Optimizer :
The Locus 3c watches live web traffic to see when dynamic data is updated, and immediately flushes affected content from third party static caching appliances so no user is ever served bad data. While watching this traffic, it also learns the traffic "hot spots" in your site consuming the most application server CPU cycles and manages the static caching appliances to compensate. The Locus 3c can optimize almost all third party "static caching" appliances on the market today.
Cache Server Optimizer :
The Locus 3i builds on the features of the Locus 3c, adding distributed or hierarchical cache support, content security, and rules integration for selective caching. Locus 3i works with third party caching servers that have an exposed programming API to intelligently manage the caching server's cache rules. Both the Locus 3c and the Locus 3i support caching of virtually any application server, from ATG Dynamo to Zeus, on any OS or platform.
